We think that Devon is a fabulous place to live, but don’t just take our word for it. Devon is consistently voted one of the best places to live in England and readers of Country Life believe that people living in Devon enjoy a better quality of life than anywhere else in England.
An opportunity has arisen for a full / part-time Band 5 Neonatal Nurse to join our team on the Special Care Unit in Barnstaple.
Do you have a passion for caring for neonates, have good communication skills and are you committed to providing excellent collaborative family-centred care in a nurturing and supportive environment? If so, we would love to hear from you.
We have an 8 cot Special Care Unit, which is newly refurbished and part of the South West Neonatal Network.
We provide level one care plus CPAP. Also we stabilise the very sick infant prior to transfer to the level 3 unit. We work together as a small team of nurses to deliver individualised, developmental, familiy centered care to all our babies.
Applicants who wish to work within our small, friendly team of professionals should be highly motivated and enthusiastic.
This post may also suit a newly quailified nurse/midwife. We will support you with the specific preceptorship and training required to become a neonatal staff nurse qualifed in specialty.
** As this post is in a shortage occupation code it qualifies for the Trust’s Recommend a Friend Scheme, please find further information on the attached link**
